Slow cooked honey chicken.

Delicious slow cooked honey chicken, extremely easy to make and takes very little time, which we all love!

What you’ll need:

  • 500-600G chicken breast (organic is possible)

  • 2 TBSP tomato paste

  • 2TBSP tamari or soy sauce

  • 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar

  • 3 TBSP honey

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • 1 tsp chilli oil

  • 1/3 cup cornflour

  • Sesame seeds

How to make:

  • In a bowl whisk together all ingredients aside from corn flower and sesame seeds.

  • Add chicken to the slow cooker on LOW heat.

  • Cover the chicken in the sauce from the first step.

  • Cook on low for 4 hours.

  • After 4 hours, remove chicken and let cool slightly.

  • Add cornflower to remaining slow cooker liquid and mix until combined (for a thicker sauce, cook slightly longer).

  • Shred the chicken with two forks, add to the slow cooker and coat the chicken in the sauce.

  • Add to cooked brown rice and vegetables, top with sesame seeds.
